Toad Hall Lodges Retreat Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we have a lovely communal kitchen equipped with a hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and BBQ grill. We also provide a selection of herbal teas and coffee for guests to enjoy throughout their stay.

Absolutely. We’ve created several peaceful breakout areas around the grounds — perfect for journaling, reading, or simply taking quiet time in nature.

Standard check-in is from 4pm, and check-out is at 12 noon. We can often accommodate early arrivals or additional nights, particularly for retreat guests. Please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Yes, please bring your own beach towel and flip-flops if you plan to swim or head to the coast. We provide high-quality towels for showers, but not for outdoor use.

There aren’t any shops within walking distance, so if you have favourite snacks or essentials, we recommend packing them. The kitchen is available for light use between meals.

No need – we provide all yoga and meditation equipment, including mats, bolsters, straps, and blocks. Of course, you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

We don’t have Wi-Fi on site – and that’s very intentional. Guests often find it a wonderful opportunity to switch off, slow down, and reconnect with nature without digital distractions.

Yes, we have ample free parking for all guests. We ask that cars are parked in the designated area to keep the retreat space calm and car-free.

Our nearest station is Darsham, around 2 hours from London Liverpool Street (via Ipswich). It’s a 10-minute taxi ride to Toad Hall, and we’re happy to arrange taxi transfers for guests arriving by train.

Yes – we have a beautiful wood-fired sauna and cold plunge pool, which can be included in your retreat schedule or booked for private use. Please check with your host for timings.

Your stay includes:

  • Private lodge accommodation (2 guests per lodge or single occupancy)
  • Use of the communal kitchen and outdoor dining area
  • Access to the yoga studio, sauna, and cold plunge (by arrangement)
  • Organic shower products, towels, and high-quality linen
  • Complimentary teas and coffee
